Salmon pancreatic disease virus is a subtype of Salmon alphavirus associated with pancreas disease in Atlantic salmon. It shares similar pathology and clinical signs as SAV, such as anorexia, pancreatic necrosis, and muscle degeneration. This disease can lead to significant losses in sea-farmed salmon populations.
