Tilapia Lake Virus

Tilapia Lake Virus (TiLV) is an emerging orthomyxo-like virus that causes high mortality in farmed and wild tilapia species. Infected fish may show lethargy, skin erosions, eye lesions, and abnormal swimming behaviors. The disease impacts global aquaculture, particularly in developing countries. No treatment is available, and biosecurity remains the most effective control strategy.
